Capitalizing on a connection with the League of Women Voters, which sponsors an array of book clubs in Oklahoma prisons, David Jolliffe, Regional Director of the Prison Story Project, has met with a group of incarcerated men called the Writers’ Guild at Joseph Harp Correctional Center in Lexington, Oklahoma. These men will launch their own multi-month version of the Prison Story Project in January 2025. Also in January 2025, Jolliffe will meet with a group of incarcerated women at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud, Oklahoma, who have expressed an interest in launching the Prison Story Project there.
