Artistic works created by men incarcerated on Arkansas’ death row will be on display and available for purchase in the parish hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 224 N. East Street in Fayetteville, from January 20-February 19, 2020.
The exhibit has grown out of a storytelling/creative writing project in 2016 when we were given unprecedented access to men on death row resulting in the staged reading of On The Row that has toured nationally since.
Of the original eleven writers of On The Row four of the men will have their work displayed in this exhibit.
There will be a reception on February 6 at St. Paul’s as part of Fayetteville’s First Thursday, a community-centered event that features a combination of music, food, and art. The reception will begin at 6:00pm and will be followed by a premiere of the filmed version of On The Row, from 7:30pm-8:30pm. The film was recorded before a live audience in Wichita, Kansas at St. James Episcopal Church.
